In October of 2018, IHR is launching its new CIPD-certified course, the Diploma in Human Resource Management. We have revitalised the content and included a new set of modules which are current up to date.
Diploma in Human Resource Management is a CIPD Intermediate level course which you will study over a one year period. It offers the perfect platform to further develop your HR knowledge and behaviours to operate at a more managerial level within the organisation.
The programme syllabus
Module 1: DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE (5DVP)
Understand what is required to be a self-managing HRM professional; to perform as a collaborative member of a group and teams and as an added-value contributor to the organisation; techniques to construct, implement and review a personal development plan
Module 2: USING INFORMATION IN HUMAN RESOURCES (5UIN)
How to identify and scrutinise meaningful conclusions, and deliver business-focused reports on a human resource management issue.
Module 3: MANAGING AND CO-ORDINATING THE HUMAN RESOURCES FUNCTION (5HRF)
Understand the evolving objectives of HR departments and the means of delivery to add value to organisations. Use of published research and HR’s ethical role in effective change management.
Module 4: IMPLEMENTING COACHING AND MENTORING (5ICM)
Understand the nature, purpose and benefits of coaching and mentoring in organisations; understand the different ways coaching and mentoring can be implemented in organisations; support the implementation of coaching and/or mentoring programmes within an organisation.
Module 5: BUSINESS ISSUES AND THE CONTEXTS OF HR (5CHR)
Key factors affecting the HRM function in all organisations and the role of HR in the managing these; how organisational and HR strategies and practices are shaped and developed.
Module 6: RESOURCING AND TALENT PLANNING (5RST)
Key contemporary labor market trends, core talent planning activities, the development of resourcing strategies, manage recruitment and selection activities, manage dismissal, redundancy and retirement, maximise employee retention.
Module 7: IMPROVING ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE (5IVP)
Understand the concept of high-performance working (HPW) and its contribution to creating and sustaining a high-performance work organisation (HPWO) and performance management; How to create and sustain a community of practice to build a high-performance culture.
Module 8: EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT (5ENG)
Understand the components and processes through which higher levels of engagement can be secured and sustained within an organisation.
